FILFILAH: Haifa Wehbe wants her child!

Lebanese singer Haifa Wehbe has decided to fight for the custody of her only child. The child was born to Wehbe in a previous marriage, but after the couple filed for a divorce, the child remained in the custody of her father. Nabeeh El Wahish, the singer's lawyer, asked her permission to file the case and even gave Wehbe his word that he will not charge any fees.

The motive behind the lawsuit has everyone asking what is the true plan in El Wahish's mind. He was quoted as saying that he is doing this mainly for "humane reasons." Some believe that he is merely doing this for his own publicity stunt. Especially if he wins, he will then be the number one lawyer to go to afterwards.

The child, Zaniab, is now 17 years of age and even wears the Islamic head scarf. She currently resigns with her father in Kuwait. She has not seen her mother since the divorce, mainly due to Haifa's career.

The daughter was once interviewed on an Arabic satellite channel about her mother and her huge success. Zainab denied that Wehbe was her mother and disapproved of what her mother's lifestyle was. She also continued to say that she never wishes to see Wehbe.

If Wehbe wins the case, the time to bond with her daughter has passed. If she really wanted to do something about the situation, it should have been done way before.
